Noting that he has "an Ailment incommodius for Riding"; mentioning Sir Andrew Fountaine, "an old Roman Floor," and a dispute about "three Saxon Coins"; asking him to send him "a Commission to be Captn of a Man of War of fifty Guns for a Fortnight"; observing that he "allways thought Ships had Rats enough of their own without being troubled with Py-Rats"; wishing that "Your Excellency will order Your Fleets to beat the French this Summer, that we may have a Peace about Michaelmas, and see Your Lordship again in Ireland by Spring."
